Netherlands supports India's stand on WTO

Minister for Foreign Trade of Netherlands Frank Heemskerk has supported India's stand on World Trade Organisation talks and said it was unfair to blame India for failure of talks. He also favoured signing of the FTA between India and the EU, stating that it would boost trade.

The Czech minister for industry, Martin Riman, went to the European Parliament's international trade committee to present the trade policy priorities of the Czech presidency of the EU. The Czech presidency is determined to reactivate the Doha Round […] although it will have difficulty in persuading players, such as China and India. While the Presidency wants to take forward negotiations on a partnership and cooperation agreement with China, it expects difficulties with regard to FTA negotiations with India.
